Poker has always been a balance of patience and aggression—but what if you could reward action while putting pressure on the tightest player at the table?
That’s exactly what the Nit Game (aka Stand Up Game) brings to Poker Now: a fun, optional side game that adds tension, incentives, and a whole new layer of strategy to every session.
The Nit Game is designed to discourage overly tight play.
👉 That player must pay every other participant in the Nit round.
This creates a strong incentive to play hands and avoid being the last one left.
To ensure fairness and smooth payouts, Poker Now uses an escrow system:
Removing your Nit chip isn’t as simple as winning any pot.
To clear your Nit:
This rule adds strategic depth, especially in multi-way and all-in situations.
With fewer players, rounds may end quickly.
Each Nit round is opt-in:
Getting a Nit Game started in Poker Now is straightforward.
To set up a Nit Game, enable the option in Game Settings for the table. This will make the Nit game available for players to opt in to.
For standalone games:

For Club games:

For a Nit round to start, at least “Nit Minimum Players” must first indicate they have interest in playing the Nit game. Interest is indicated by clicking the Nit interest chip on the player’s seat:

Click the N triangle to show you are interested in playing and it will show in Green. Click again to remove interest.
You will see the interest chip on each player’s seat that has shown interest. The Not interested state will only be visible to you at your own seat so you can click it to show interest.
When the Nit Game is enabled and at least Nit Minimum Players have shown interest in playing, the next hand will start with every player at the table being asked whether they want to participate in the next Nit round.

As long as at least Nit Minimum Players agree to play, those players will then be asked where the chips for their Nit Game escrow should come from.

Players who do not agree to participate in the round will sit out until that Nit round is complete.
Once the round begins, the game continues just like a normal poker game. Each participating player receives a Nit chip, and you can look around the table at any time to see who still has theirs.

As described in the rules above, a player’s Nit chip is removed once they win an eligible pot.
When only one player remains with their Nit chip, that player loses the round and must pay the Nit amount to every player who opted into that Nit Game round.

When the Nit round ends, all interest in the Nit game is cleared from each player. As long as the Nit Game option remains enabled for the table, the players can then indicate interest for the Nit game again, and when at least Nit Minimum Players have shown interest, it will prompt for a new round to begin.
